We Remember

From Rosella Rosenberg

Dear Alisdair and Nike,

I was so sorry to learn of your father's death. I know that he had been ill for some time, but the suddenness of his passing must have been a great shock to both of you.

I am Helen's mother and I and my husband have known Ted for very many years. He has been a guest in my home on more than one occasion.

Ted was a larger than life character who brought fun, color, and a sense of joy to all he came in contact with. My husband and he spent many an evening reminiscing about musical experiences and musicians they had known. They really enjoyed each other's company.

He was a source of strength to Helen as she expanded her business in Germany and I know that she relied on his help and advice throughout their business association. I have been to several conferences and saw how the teachers loved him and he was known as Uncle Ted to them.

He enjoyed his latter days in Israel and was proud of the little flat that he rented.

A man of intellect,  knowledge and warmth, he will leave a gap in the lives of all who knew him, may he rest in peace.

Please accept my husband’s and my sincere condolences in your time of sadness. We hope that you can find some comfort in learning that Ted was regarded so highly by all his friends.
